Welcome to Blessed Sacrament Catholic School!

At Blessed Sacrament, we are committed to partnering with parents to educate and support the whole child's development in faith, academics, and service. Our highly qualified teachers and staff foster a nurturing, loving, and joyful learning environment. Walk the halls and visit classrooms, and you see active, engaged, polite students with teachers who draw the best out of them, and parents who support them and reinforce the same values and expectations. Daily, one will witness students who keep watch over others, lift one another up, and live out the values of a Student of the Blessed Sacrament. Schedule a tour today to see why Blessed Sacrament may be the right fit for your family!

I love sending my kids to school at BSCS and knowing that they are being taught through the lens of our faith. Additionally and maybe equally important, they LOVE going to school there!

Why Blessed Sacrament?

Faith

Faith is a foundational part of our school community, guiding everything we do. We are dedicated to forming students to have a personal relationship with God. Our goal is to equip students with faith, knowledge, skills, and character that are necessary for holy lives and, ultimately, sainthood.

Academics

At Blessed Sacrament, we partner with parents to educate and support their children's development. We help parents form their children in academic and moral excellence through an academically rigorous curriculum in a safe and caring environment.

Service

Service is at the heart of our school’s mission. We empower students to use their God-given talents with courage to truly better the lives of others. By fostering a spirit of selflessness and responsibility, we help students grow into leaders who serve with purpose.

FAQs

  • About 25% of our families are either non-denominational Christian or from some other faith tradition, and we go about our Catholic school routines, prayer, and worship without really knowing this detail. Our Catholic school culture is vibrant, routine, disciplined, beautiful, and joyful, and everyone participates.

    • Our students perform well on our benchmark testing in reading and math, on average achieving 2 grade levels above the national norm on our norm-referenced assessments.

    • Students who come to BSCS from other schools in 3rd-8th grade are often a bit behind in some subjects, particularly related to their work habits, and their reading and writing stamina, skills, and scores, but they typically catch up within the first trimester. Teachers implement many customized supports to get them there!

  • Parents are the first educators in every child’s life. We partner with parents to help students become great people. Our community naturally reflects human society, and as a result, we are not immune to the ordinary conflicts, squabbles, and issues that happen with children. The difference here is that we attend to them, correct them in the moment, partner with families, and loop them into the conversation - all the while forming the children through the lens of our faith. Little things matter, and we don't ignore them; we teach through them.

  • Mass and Adoration are often reported as students' favorite times in the week! We suspect that, in addition to the curiosity and joy found in being with Christ, this is because, as a society, we don't protect enough quiet in our days. Our students are yearning for more thoughtful, reflective, meditative time in their days and weeks.

  • Morning Assembly is one easy and happy routine in our day. We pray together, announce birthdays (accompanied with 'We are thankful you were born!'), recite the Pledge of Allegiance, share shout outs and other news, and close in a hymn together, 'Salve Regina.' By 8:05am (typically), students are in class or in Mass. It's quick and fun.

  • We prioritize outside play for our students every day, and Physical Education is protected in our specials’ rotation.
